How to install GENNO on iPhone and Android
In 2 minutes GENNO is on your phone and ready for the first sign-in.
Before you start
- Use the phone you take to the field.
- Have the GENNO invitation email at hand. It arrives at the address you gave the team.
- Install over Wi-Fi or a good 4G connection. After that, the app works offline.
On iPhone
During the Beta Pilot, GENNO for iPhone is distributed through TestFlight, Apple's official testing app.
- Open the App Store and install the TestFlight app (it is free).
- Go back to the GENNO invitation email and tap the iPhone link.
- TestFlight opens with GENNO. Tap Accept and then Install.
- When it finishes, the GENNO icon appears on the home screen.
On Android
- Open the GENNO invitation email on your phone.
- Tap the Android link.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the app.
- When it finishes, the GENNO icon appears among your apps.
First access
- Open GENNO.
- Type the email where you received the invitation.
- Type the initial password that the farm administrator (or the GENNO team) sent only to you.
- Sign in and change the password to one of your own, in More › My Profile › New Password.
The GENNO team never asks for your password by WhatsApp, phone or email. Do not share your access: each person on the farm team has their own login.
Install and do the first sign-in while still at the farm office. That way, when you reach the paddock, your animals are already on your phone.
Common problems
I didn't receive the invitation email. Look in your spam folder and in "Promotions". If it isn't there, contact support and confirm the registered email.
The iPhone link opens the App Store and nothing happens. TestFlight must be installed first. Install TestFlight and tap the link in the email again.
The app says the payment or the farm registration is pending. The person in charge of the farm needs to finish the registration and the subscription at web.genno.app. See how to complete the initial setup. After that, the app sign-in works.
I don't have a GENNO login. Ask the farm administrator to add you to the team. If the farm doesn't use GENNO yet, see how to create the account and subscribe.
