How to set up your professional license and specialties
WebAppNeeds internet
Your professional license and specialty appear in the signature block of reports and documents. GENNO builds the license in each country's format, so you only fill in the country, the region and the number.
Before you start
- There is no international veterinary license: each country has its own body. Register the license of the country where you practice.
- If you already had a license in GENNO, it was converted to Brazil + state + number. If you see Check your professional license, choose the state and keep only the number.
On the web
- At web.genno.app, click Settings › My account › Professional registration.
- Under Country of the license, choose the country. Countries with their own format come first.
- If the country has regions, choose one: the License state in Brazil or the US, or the Province (college) in Spain.
- Fill in the number. The field shows an example of how it appears on documents.
- In the US, if you have it, also fill in the Federal accreditation (USDA NVAP).
- In other countries, fill in the Issuing body and the number.
- If you work at FEI events, fill in the FEI ID.
- Under Specialties, search and choose up to 3. The first one is the main one and appears on documents.
- Click Save record.
| Country | How it appears on documents |
|---|---|
| Brazil | CRMV-SP 12345 |
| Portugal | OMV 1234 |
| Spain | Colegiado 28/1234 |
| USA | License TX 12345 · NVAP 123456 |
| United Kingdom | RCVS 7654321 |
| Others | the body and the number, as you wrote them |
In the app
In More › My Profile › Professional details, fill in the same fields: country, region, number, FEI ID and the specialties under Add specialty. Tap Save. Editing the license needs internet; documents made offline use the saved license.
Common problems
The specialty I use is not on the list. Ask support. The list is the same for everyone and the GENNO team adds missing specialties.
"CRMV number invalid" appears. Keep only the digits, without "CRMV" or the state.
